Shots were fired at a man's car as he was driving through Nicosia on 29 July 2026. The 43-year-old victim survived the attack. Two suspects, aged 30 and 41, were arrested at Larnaca airport on 31 July on court warrants as soon as they landed in Cyprus. Police investigations into the case are ongoing.
